JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Bandung Technology Institute (ITB) announced that it will hold the 9th ITB International Geothermal Workshop on April 1-2, 2020 in Bandung West Java.
ITB International Geothermal Workshop is a series of thematic events that are held annually since 2012 by the Geothermal Master Program of ITB.
The organizing committee said as part of the program, the 9th IIGW 2020 will unveil the brainstorming idea of the theme “Advancing the Prospecting and Utilization of National Geothermal Sector Through Best Practice Management, Investment, and Technology”.
The IIGW 2020 will provide several programs in IIGW 2020, as follows:
Two (2) days workshop designed for participants who want to learn about the technology which could be implemented for geothermal energy development on Monday until Tuesday, 30-31 March 2020. We hold three (3) topics for the pre-workshop: Leapfrog Geothermal, Introduction to UNFC (United Nations Framework Classification)-2009 Geothermal Spesification, and JIWA: Geothermal Dashboard.
- Plenary and Technical Session
This event will be held on 1-2 April 2020. In this main workshop, we invite 60 topical experts in exploration, engineering, education, regulation, economic, social, and environmental issues of geothermal development.
- Field Camp
This event is designed for curious participants to experience the actual exploration stage in geothermal development. This two-day program will be held on 2-3 April 2020.
- Field Trip
In this event, participants will be introduced to geothermal resources and their utilization. This program will be held on 3 April 2020.
- Networking Night
The networking night event will be held In the first evening of the main workshop on 1 April 2020. This is a social event aimed to bond and creates new connections between participants.
