JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), a subsidiary of diversified energy company PT Pertamina, has signed a deal with PT Padoma Global Neo Energi (PGNE) over LNG transportation in West Papua.
The deal was signed by President Director of Pertamina International Shipping Subagjo Hari Moeljanto and President Director of Padoma Global Neo Energi Bambang Heriawan Soesanto.
The deal covers the procurement of LNG vessel to deliver LNG to power plants in the Papua region.
Based on the deal Pertamina Shipping will provide small-size LNG Carrier for PGNE to support its power plants in Papua, said Subagjo Hari Moeljanto.
President Director of PGNE Bambang Heriawan Soesanto said the cooperation was an initial step for more cooperation in the future.
PGNE is a joint venture company between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (IDX:PGAS) and a local government-owned company PT Papua Doberai Mandiri (Padoma). The JV deal was signed on Feb. 15, 2018.
Padoma engages in the gas business, covering LNG transportation, development of LNG receiving terminal, gas storage and regasification.
Last month, Bintuni Bay and Fakfak Regency Governments have recommended Padoma Global Neo Energi to manage the distribution of 20 MMSCFD of gas from Tangguh LNG to the Papua region.
Padoma also has business unit in air transportation business, operating one aircraft Cesna. (*)
