Meindo Elang Indah completes fabrication of YYA Platform for PHE ONWJ

JAKARTA (RambuEnergy) – PT Meindo Elang Indah, an EPCI contracting company, has completed the fabrication of YYA Platform at its Handil-1 Fabrication Yard that will be used by Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) ONWJ, a subsidiary of state run company PT Pertamina.

On  March 25, 2019, the company held a ceremony for the Sail Away of the platform to the north coast of West Java.

The Sail-Away of the platform will take about 7-9 days, therefore the platform should arrive in early April.

The installation of the YYA platform will comprise of pile, jacket and topside, which includes boat landing platform. “We hope the development of YY field will be in line with the schedule,” he said.

The Division Head of Project Management and Facility Maintenance of SKK Migas Luky Agung Yusgiantoro said the YY Project is one of projects that is closedly monitored by SKK Migas. The project is targeted to help boost the country’s oil and gas production

President Director of PHE, Meidawati said PHE ONWJ is the first production sharing contractor (PSC) in Indonesia that has implemented the gross-split based PSC.

She said the fabrication of the YYA Platform has completed on time, beginning in August 2018. The platform will be used to support the production of YY oil field.

PHE Director for Development Afif Saifudin said the YYA Platform will support the drillig of three wells and two slots of additional wells, if needed in the future.

In the period of January to February, PHE has installed undersea pipeline along 13.5 km from YYA platform to KLB platform that will transfer gas. The oil will further transfered to the central plant for processing at the FSO Arco Arjuna, while gas will be transfered to the Mike-Mike Platform and Muara Karang. (*)
