JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – PT Pertamina EP, an upstream oil and gas subsidiary of PT Pertamina has officially become the operator of Sukowati field, a unitization field, within Tuban block, located in East Java. The operatorship right was obtained based on the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry’s decree Number 2800/13/MEM.M/2018, dated May 17, 2018.
The field was previously operated by the joint operating body (JOB) Pertamina Petrochina East Java (JOB PPEJ). Pertamina EP’s operatorship right was effective from May 20. The field oil production was supported by production facilities, namely CPA Mudi and FSO Cinta Natomas.
The output from PHE Tuban East Java will also be processed at the Mudi CPA facility.
In 2017, oil production of the JOB PPEJ reached 10,500 barrels per day and 14.2 million MMSCFD of gas. In 2018, the Tuban block is targeted to produce 8,110 bopd and 11.11 MMSCFD of gas. (*)
