JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – PT Nusantara Regas, the operator of Indonesia’s first floating, storage and regasification unit (FSRU) West Java, has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Pertagas Niaga and PT National Energy Solution (NES) to develop small-scale LNG offloading facilities in West Java, Bangka Belitung, Pontianak and Lombok..
The MoU was signed last weekend by Director for Operation and Commercial of Nusantara Regas, Bara Frontasia, President Director of Pertagas Niaga Linda Sunarti and Managing Director of NES Norman Edward Sebastian.
Under the cooperation scheme, Nusantara Regas will receive LNG at its FSRU in North Jakarta, before it is delivered to the mini LNG terminal to be managed and operated by NES. The LNG will be supplied by Pertagas.
Bara said the mini LNG terminal is expected to begin commercial operation in 2019 with an initial volume of LNG of 2.7 billion British thermal unit per day (bbutd) and will be raised to 6.7 bbtud.
