JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry said it will announce the winners of the geothermal working area (WA) tender by the end of this month.
There are four geothermal working area being offered with a potential installed capacity of 360 MW, located in four areas.
First, Geureudong geothermal WA, located in Aceh with a potential capacity of 160 MW.
Second, Hu’u Daha geothermal WA located in Dompu and Bima Regencies, West Nusa Tenggara with a potential capacity of 65 MW.
Third, Cubadak geothermal WA, located in Pasaman and Pasaman Barat Regencies in West Sumatera with potential capacity of 66 MW.
Fourth, Pentadio geothermal WA located in Gorontalo, Bone Bolango and Gorontalo City Regencies, Gorontalo Province, with a potential capacity of 25 MW.
Director for Geothermal at the Directorate General for New, Renewable and Energy Conservation of the energy ministry Ida Nuryatin said the winners of the first and second geothermal working area would be announced by the end of this month.
The tender process of the third and fourth geothermal working area is being verified and evaluated. (*)
