Indonesia palm oil association reappoints Supriyono as chairman

JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) has reappointed Joko Supriyono as chairman of the association for the period of 2018-2023.

The association said in a statement that the chairman will focus on two key programs in the next five years, namely business development and market expansion.

“The GAPKI’s program is to improve business climate at home and securing export market overseas,” Supriyono said.

He said the support of the government is crucial in helping to strengthen the export markets for Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) products.

The reappointment of Supriyono came as the country’s palm oil industry is facing negative campaign from quarters of international players as well as export barriers imposed by some countries, through higher import tax on the commodity. (*)
