JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has declared Setya Novanto, speaker of the House of Representative (DPR) and also Chairman of Golkar Party, as a suspect in the electronic-ID card (E-KTP) case.
“KPK has declared SN, member of DPR for period of 2009-2014 as the latest suspect in the e-KTP case,” KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo said at a press conference in late Tuesday (Jul 17).
He was declared a suspect following recent trial of other suspects Sugiharto and Irman.
SN has been accused to have used his position to influence the government’s decision in the procurement of e-KTP, which is believed to have cause losses of trillions of rupiah to the State. (*)
