JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry today launches ESDM One Map Indonesia application which will provide information on geo spatial in the energy and mineral resources sector, including in working areas of oil and gas, geothermal working areas, infrastructure, electricity, oil and gas infrastructure and other resources potentiality.
The policy is in line with the One Map Policy issued in the Economic Policy Package VII issued by the government last year.
The Head of Pusdatin, the information and data center of the energy ministry, Susetyo Edi Prabowo said the system is expected to create a unification of information and data and guarantee validity of data accessed by the public, improve efficiency as well as supporting the regulator and business players to make decision as well as provide opportunities for business players to increase their investment.
He said all data and information in different units of the energy ministry are incorporated in this application.
The data provided by the system include geology information (mineral, coal, geothermal, bitumen and coal bed methane), oil and gas WK area, geothermal WK, upstream data, 2D and 3D seismic data, and others. (*)
