Budiman Saleh named as new CEO of state shipbuilder PAL Indonesia

JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – State Owned Enterprise Minister Rini Soemarno has appointed Budiman Saleh as new President Director of PT PAL Indonesia, a state shipbuilder, replacing Firmansyah Arifin, who has been dismissed after alleged implicated in corrupted case.

Arifin has been dismissed from his post after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found proves that he has received kick-back over the sale of Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) produced by PAL to the Philippine government.

Budiman Saleh was previously Commercial and Restructuring Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI).

Budiman was appointed based on the SOE Ministry’s stipulation No SK-64/MBU/04/2017.

At the same occassion, the ministry dismiss Etty Soewardani as director for human resources and general affair of PAL Indonesia, and then reappointed her as director.

The SOE Ministry calls on the new board of PAL to improve supervision on the corporate activities and set up a solid management team. (*)
