JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of Pertamina, plans to kick of the development of Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Cilacap in offshore West Java this year, a company official said.
Manager Public Relation of Pertagas Hatim Ilwan in Bogor on Sunday (March 5) that the FSRU project is targeted to be operational in 2019. The gas from the FSRU will be supplied to Refinery Unit VI Cilacap, owned by Pertamina.
PT Pertamina Gas, a subsidiary of state owned energy company PT Pertamina, started the prequalification tender process for the procurement of the FSRU in June last year.
Pertagas has said earlier that the FSRU will have capacity of processing 200 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas.
In addition the development of the Cilacap FSRU, Hatim said Pertagas is developing three gas transmission pipeline with total length of 513 kilometers in South Sumatera, Central Java and East Java.
The pipeline network projects will add on 225 km of gas pipeline that has been developed in 2016. The first is pipeline project linking Grissik-Pusri (South Sumatera) with a length of 176 km, said Manager Public Relation of Pertagas Hatim Ilwan in Bogor on Sunday (March 5).
The gas pipeline will transfer gas to fertilizer plants and power plants in South Sumatera, which are expected to come onstream in second quarter of 2017. The total capacity of gas to be delivered would reach 160 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
The second project is gas pipeline which connects Gresik and Petrokimia Gresik in East Java with a length of 70 km. As much as 85 MMSCFD of gas will be transferred through this pipeline beginnng from July 2017.
The third project is gas pipeline linking Gresik in East Java and Semarang in Cental Java. The gas pipeline will transfer gas amounted to 500 MMSCFD to power plants and industrial parks in the region. The project is projected to be completed in second quarter of 2017. (*)
