Austindo operates one new palm oil mill in West Kalimantan

JAKARTA ( – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ) through its subsidiary PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL) has started the operration of its palm oil mill in Ketapang, West Kalimantan in early December 2016.

The palm oil mill has capacity to process 90 tons of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) per hour.

The company has allocated investment around US$15 million to build the mill, adding on the existing small-scale mill with capacity of 15 tons per hour.

CEO Palm Oil of ANJ, Geetha Govindan said the construction of the mill began in May 2015. He said the palm oil mill will also processed palm oil from nucleus farmers.

Govindan said the palm oil mill consists of production line with capacity of 45 tons per hour.

KALM is upbeat that its target to process FFB up to 111,600 tons by end of this year of 105.5% higher than the existing facility, compared to 54,293 tons of palm oil. It has palm oil estate with size of 12,000 per hectares. (*)
