President Joko Widodo and Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong to officiate Kendal Industrial Park

JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong posted a photo of Semarang town, the capital city of Central Java, in his personal twitter account, where he will spend a retreat with Indonesian President Joko Widodo. Indonesian Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto welcome him at the Semarang Airport, on behalf of President Widodo. Both leaders are scheduled to inaugurate Kendal Industrial Park by the Bay.

In addition, both leaders are also scheduled to hold bilateral meeting and sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Kendal Industrial Zone (Kawasan Industri Kendal/KEK) is jointly developed by Graha Buana Cikarang, a subsidiary of PT Jababeka Tbk, an industrial area developer and, and its Singapore counterpart Sembcorp Development Indonesia (Pte. Ltd, a subsidiary of Sembawang Development Ltd of Singapore.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo and his Singapore counterpart Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is scheduled to inaugurate the operation of the industrial zone. The industrial zone will comprise of industrial and residential area.

President Director of Jababeka Budianto Liman has said that they will develop several special clusters within KIK Park by the Bay, which will be integrated from upstream to downstream. Initially they will develop 100 hectares of land out of planned total 2,700 hectares.

The development of the industrial zone will be done in stages. the first stage is developing industrial area on 860 hectares of land. One of the occupant is PT Tat Wai Indsutry of Singapore.

Central Java governor Ganjar Pranowo has said the provincial government will ensure simplification of business procedures, including in obtaining permits.
