JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Palm oil producers and stakeholders will gather in Bali on Nov. 23-25 to attend the Indonesian Palm Oil Conference (IPOC) and 2017 Price Price Outlook. High on agenda is the sustainable issues which which have been and continued to be encountered by the producers.
The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution is scheduled to open the 12th IPOC. Other ministers, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Agrarian Minister and Head of the Land Registration Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil and Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita are also expected to attend the annual event.
The organizer of the conference said in a statement that a number of experts from around the world and participants from 36 countries will also take part. “This year, the conference will carry a theme ‘palm oil development, market harmonization, society and the State. With this theme, we are hoping to get insight on how to develop palm oil plantation in the future which is in line with the global concerns on sustainable issues,” said Mona Surya, chairperson of IPOC 2016 in a statement Monday (Nov. 11), who is also CEO of PT Minanga Ogan.
The speakers are including Prof Dr Iwan Jaya Aziz (Cornell University AS & Economic Faculty of University of Indonesia), Oleg S. Medvedev (Lomonosov Moscow State University), BV Mehta (The Solvent Exctractors Association of India), James Fry (LMC International Ltd UK) and Dorab Mistry (Godrej International Ltd, Inggris). (*)
