PLN announces PQ for procurement of LNG infrastructure for gas power plants

JAKARTA (RAMBUENERGY.com) – State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has launched prequalification (PQ) process for the procurement of LNG infrastructure for gas fired power plans in Bangka, Belitung, Pontianak and Nias.

PLN said it is inviting qualified companies to participate in the PQ. The scope of works of these projects is to build and operate LNG vessel, jetties and the topside works, LNG storages and regasification facilities for gas fired power plants in those areas.

For operation and maintenance of the facilities, the awarded contractor of this procurement will be partnered with PLN’s subsidiary company to establish a special purpose company (SPC).

The PQ is open for firms and consortium from countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesia and well experienced as a firm or consortium in the field of LNG plant, LNG Marine Transportation, LNG Storage, and LNG Regasification facility.

The foreign companies cannot participate as a single bidder and shall engage with Indonesian reputable companies as member of consortium, international firms and formed consortium with foreign companies members.

PLN requires that PQ applicants must demonstrate a current Dun & Bradsteet rating at least 5A2 or an investment grade credit rated by S&P, Moody’s or Fitch for consortium leader, and each member other than consortium leader must demonstrate a current D&B rating at least 5A3 or an investment grade credit rated by S&P, Moody’s or Fitch.

  • Date/Time : October 26-28, 2016.

  • MPP Belitung : 25 MW
  • MPP Bangka : 50 MW
  • MPP West Kalimanan : 100 MW
  • PLTG/MG Pontianak Peaker : 100 MW
  • MPP Nias : 25 MW
  • PLTMG Nias
