Medco teams up with Ratchaburi of Thailand in Riau gas power plant tender

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (IDX:MEDC), through its subsidiary PT Medco Power Indonesia, teams up with Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Plc, in a tender to build 250 MW of gas power plant in Riau. The project is estimated to require investment of US$350 million.

President Director of Medco Power Indonesia Fazil Erwin Alfitri was quoted by Investor Daily as saing that Ratchaburi is the right partner in taking part in the tender. Should they win the tender, they will use external and internal cash flow to fund the project.

Previously, Medco Power teamed with Mitsui & Co Ltd in a tender of PLTGU Jawa I with capacity of 1×800 MW in West Java. The project is estimated to require investment of US4.16 billon. (*)
