Indonesia’s PLN prequalifies companies for gas pipeline work

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) launches prequalification process for the procurement and installation of dedicated gas pipeline in East Kalimantan.

The winner will be required to install gas pipeline which will link PK-52 Badak Export Manifold (BEM) facility to its Tanjung Batu power center in East Kalimantan. The pipeline will be 16 inches and with a length of around 55 kilometers.

The Badak Export Manifold (BEM) is a complex manifold to gather the entire gas delivery from upstream fields and to deliver hydrocarbons to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant and to domestic commercial sites, manufacturing fertilizers and chemicals. Besides the function as gas processing facilities, the duties of the export manifold are to maintain pressure, distribute gas flow, implement off take logic during shut down and coordinate gas delivery.

The pre-qualification documents are available at the company’s headquarter on April 11-15 from 10.00 to 15.00. (*)
