JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (IDX:PGAS) said its Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Lampung, operated by PT PGN LNG Indonesia, has received one cargoe of LNG from LNG Tangguh, West Papua.
The LNG vessel arrived at the FSRU on Saturday and started offloading the LNG to the FSRU. The LNG offloading is expected to last for about 75 hours or 3 days.
The one cargoe of LNG is part of the 1.1 million cubic meter of LNG until end of 2016. The LNG will be regasified at the FSRU before it is delivered to onshore gas receiving terminal in Labuang Maringgai Lampung via gas pipeline. The gas will then be channeled through South Sumatera West Java (SSWJ) gas pipeline.
The givernment is currently developing 35,000 MW of power plant projects. Of these, 13,432 MW will be gas power plant, which will require 1,009 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Among gas power plants that will require gas supply are: PLTGU Jawa 1 1600 MW, PLTGU Jawa-Bali 3 Peaker 500 MW, PLTGU Muara Karang (peaker) 500 MW, PLTGU Jawa 2 (Tanjung Priok) 800 MW, PLTMG Belitung V 30 MW, PLTMG Bangka Peaker 100 MW, PLTMG Tanjung Pinang II 30 MW, PLTMG Bengkalis 18 MW, PLMG MPP Kaltim 30 MW, PLTGU Sulsel Peaker 450 MW.
