JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) — Government-owned survey company PT Superintending Company Of Indonesia (Suconfindo) has completed a 3D seismic survey for KSO Pertamina EP-Indrillco Hulu Energy Ltd in Musi Rawas and PT Petroenim di Baturaja in South Sumatera.
The survey for two locations were begun in May and April respectively and were completed in early September, Kontan daily reported, citing M.Heru Riza, Director of Commercial I Sucofindo as saying.
The company is currently conducting a 2D survey for PT Anugerah Mutiara Sentosa, covering 200 square kilometers. The company is also participating in two tenders to carry out 2D seismic surveys.
Some observers have said as oil price is low, it is time to conduct oil and gas explorations as the cost to carry out such activity is still low. As Indonesia’s oil reserves are now enough for 10 years, conducting exploration activities certainly is a must. (*)
