PLN says 11 parties pass pre-qualification process to supply gas

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – State electricity company PT PLN said 11 companies and consortia have passed the pre-qualification process to supply natural gas to the company’s gas power plants. The prequalification was launched on March 9, 2015.

PLN said in an announcement that those companies have met the requirements in providing the required documents to take part in the tender.

Those that have passed the pre-qualification process are six consortia and five individual companies. Following is the list of bidders that can step to the next phase, namely the tender process:

1. Consortium Socar Petroleum S.A. – PT Humpuss Transportasi Kimia – PT PP (Persero) Tbk.

2. PT Pertamina (Persero)

3. Consortium PT Bukaka Teknik Utama (Tbk), Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd – Mitsui Co. Ltd

4. Consortium PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) – International Power Ltd

5. Consortium of Itochu Corporation – PT Energasindo Heksa Karya

6. Osaka Gas Co. Ltd

7. PT Medco Energi International Tbk

8. Consortium Shell Gas & Power Development B.V. – PT Energi Dian Kemala

9. Gas Natural Fenosa, SDG, S.A.

10. Consortium of Mitsubishi Corporation – Bronei National Petroleum Company Sdn. Bhd – Diamond Gas Internationa Pte Ltd

11. Marubeni Corporation.

The tender process is expected to be completed in October or the latest November this year. The winner of the tender process will be required to supply 230 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The LNG will be supplied to 12 PLN’s gas pweor
