JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – Top executives of oil and gas companies will gather in Jakarta next week at the “Deeepwater Asia Congress Indonesia 2015”, which will be held on Sept. 28-29.
The congress is timely given that Indonesia is currently developing in a number of deepwater projects, but also a challenging one due to a fall of world oil price.
According to a press release issued by the organizer of the congress, SZ&W Group, the congress was held, which is fourth times this year, at the time the Joko Widodo government undertaken a number of changes to lure investment in oil and gas industry. The President has indicated that he would reduce red tapes and fiscal impediments to expand the offshore oil and gas sector.
Since 2012, Deepwater Asia Congress Indonesia has been successfully held annually, attracting over 200 senior executives every year. This year will be 4th Deepwater Asia Congress Indonesia. Among highlights of the congress will be the latest progress about the development of deepwater project Jangkrik field in East Kalimantan, which is developed by ENI of Italy as well as Abadi field development, undertaken by Inpex Corporation of Japan.
Among the speakers will be officials from SKK Migas, Energy Ministry (ESDM) as well as top officials from major oil and gas players in Indonesia. (*)
