JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – The Indonesian government revealed that PT Shell Indonesia, the Indonesian operation unit of Dutch giant oil and gas company Shell, plans to build biofuel storage in Pulau Laut , Central Kalimantan.
Director General for New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Rida Mulyana said Shell Indonesia has expressed its interest to build the storage. “Shell wants to build biofuel storage. The company (executive) has come to me even before the new President was elected,” he was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying.
He said Shell is interested to build the biofuel storage as it is interested with the government’s policy to increase the use of biofuel through mandatory policy by mixing a minimum of 20 percent of biofuel in every liter diesel fuel. (*)
