House approves multi-year gas infrastructure projects of Energy Ministry

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – The Commission VII of the House of Representative (DPR) which oversees energy and mineral sectors has approved multi-year gas infrastructure projects of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry (ESDM) worth Rp513.37 billion rupiah.

The projects will be developed from this year to 2017, detik.com reported.

The projects include fuel storage in eastern Indonesia with budget allocation of Rp10.6 billion, 12-inches of gas pipeline connecting Semarang, Cirebon and Balongan twons on Java Island with budget allocation of Rp112.5 billion; 12-inches 130-km gas pipeline connecting Balikpapan and Samarinda town in East Kalimantan at a cost of Rp29.25 billion; city gas project worth Rp55 billion; and LPG storage facilities in Jayapura, Wayame and Bima (West Nusa Tenggara) with a total cost of Rp25 billion.

The House also approved the budget of the energy ministry for 2015 totaling Rp14.916 trillion. (*)
