JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com)- ASL Marine-linked PT Capitol Nusantara Indonesia Tbk (CANI.IJ), an offshore supply vessel operator (OSV) listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange early this year, said it is seeking to add its contracts with oil and gas companies to provide supply vessels to support their offshore exploration and production activities.
The move was taken amid falling coal prices. At present, around 70 percent of its customers are coal producers, with the remaining 30 percent companies engaging in oil and gas industry.
The company has approached and took part in OSV tenders held by oil and gas companies to provide supply vessels to support their construction and drilling activities, the company said in a public presentation resume, which was filed to the Indonesian Stock Exchange Friday.
Early next year, the company plans to buy 1 unit of AHTS vessel as stated in its prospectus. After listing on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), the company has bought 3 smaller size vessels.
The purchase of AHTS vessel is expected to help boost the company’s comprehensive net profit to US$4 million from US$467,000 estimated for this year. The company aims to use the vessel to support offshore oil and gas projects, “which is still promising”. (*)
