Saipem to add US$18 mln investment in Indonesia

JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – PT Saipem Indonesia, an Italian offshore EPC company, recently secured contracts to fabricate and construct 24 modules that will be used by Total to develop the Kaombo oil and gas field in Angola.

Riatna Jeo, public relation of Saipem Singapore, said in a statement as quoted by Batamtoday.com that to respond to this order, Saipem Indonesia will add investment of US$18 million at its shipyard facilities in Riau Island.

The company will also recruit more Indonesian workers in 2015 and 2016 to support the expansion. (*)
