JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – PT Pertamina Hulu Energy West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, produces 18,086 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 114,5 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd) in 2013, showing a significant increase compared to early part of the year.
In early 2013, the company produces 6,284 bopd and gas 96.4 mmscfd. The company’s peak production last year reached 28,262 bopd and gas 125 mmscfd.
The increase was driven by exploration and development activities. Last year, PHE ONWJ drilled three exploration wells and 24 development wells.
Additional production was driven by the reactivation of PHE-40 field, which gave additional production of 2,508 bopd and 12.9 mmscfd.
The company also installed 21-kilometers long of pipeline from PHE-38B to PPP, therefore it can deliver oil and gas from PHE 38B at a volume of 12,500 bopd and 13.7 mmscfd.
Its two new fields, PHE-54 and PHE-39, managed to produce 2,578 bopd and 17.7 mmsfd from PHE-54 as well as 1,310 bopd and 0.6 mmscfd from PHE-39 field.
The company has also obtained approval from the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) for the Plan of Development (POD) of Integrasi-1.
Acting Director for Operational of PHE ONWJ Bambang H. Kardono said the company will step up its efforts to increase oil and gas production. (*)
